Wine name: CHARDONNAY
Production area: D.O.P. FRIULI COLLI ORIENTALI
in the hills of the municipality of Attimis at 200 m. above sea level.
Type of wine: Dry white.
Soil: Flysch of the Eocene epoch with a prevalence of sandstone.
Growing system: Guyot.
Harvest: Early September (first ten days of the month).
Grapes are hand harvested, selected and separated into crates.
Vinification: Slight maceration at a controlled temperature followed by soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats.
Enhancement: 6 months of natural fermentation in stainless steel vats. Once bottled the wine is left to mature for 2 months before sale.
Alcohol content: 12,5 % vol.
Total acidity: 5,50 gr/l
Organoleptic Characteristics: The colour is straw yellow with golden tinge.
The bouquet is refined, elegant , with a balanced aroma of Golden apple, freshly baked bread and wild flowers. The flavour is both dry and smooth with a slight liquorice scent.
When ageing, the wine acquires vanilla and Artemisia flavours.
Conservation: Keep in a cool, dark place.
Serving temperature: 8-10° C
Bottle: 750 ml
Food combinations: Classic as an aperitif, perfect match for the whole range of low fat appetizers, soups, fish and egg dishes, including shellfish.
